Summer Bishil is an American actress best known for her role as Margo Hanson in the Syfy the fantasy-based drama The Magicians (2015-present). She had previously gained recognition for playing the role of a 13-year-old Lebanese-American girl Jasira Maroun as she goes through a series of turbulent personal struggles against the context of the U.S. war in Iraq during the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. The subsequent recognition as one of Variety's Top 10 Actors of 2007 also came as a huge honour. The role she played was another one of her most memorable characters Taslima Jahangir in 2009's thriller Crossing Over for which she received nominations for the Independent Spirit Award in the Best Female Leading Actress category. The actress also appeared in co-lead roles and movies like The Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star, Under the Silver Lake as well as in a variety of TV guest role.
