Total Divas recruited her in September of 2013 in a seven-on-7 tag-team elimination match that featured True Divas and Total Divas. Mendes eliminated her in the match. She won her title of Divas Champion in February's Elimination Chamber, where she defeated AJ Lee. In the next week that she faced Lee in a rematch, but was unable to take home her title. Ariana was then matched against Lee to defend her Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational Championship, that was taken by Lee. In July 2014, Ariana was with Naomi Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes Summer Rae to take against Nikki Bella for a six-on-1 handicap game. Ariana showed up just to fight Nikki Bella as well as Naomi. The Battleground preview gave her a fight with Naomi. Ariana beat Naomi during this contest. As a result, their rivalry was born.
